Who We Are

Founded in 2020, High 5 Dog Training Academy Is a Dedicated Team of Dog Loving Trainers, Based in Regina, SK

We aim to provide the foundations of obedience and dog sports, particularly focusing on what is called "impulse control" where we teach dogs to respond calmly and positively to environments, whether it be the home or the high energy area of a dog sport event.

Our Team

Dogs and Friendship

We have been friends for quite sometime, having met through dogs and events. Quickly, we realized we had a similar way of training and understanding dogs, believing in positive, proactive approach.

We started High 5 on a whim - we both had been training dogs for sometime, but had been taking breaks from teaching others - where one day a discussion of what kinds of classes Regina needed turned into planning how to offer classes. The rest is history!

So, here we are! We are having a great time helping owners progress with their dogs. The best part is seeing the dogs progress and grow every week and see how happy their owners are!quite somequite

Cassandra

Owner and Trainer
Diving right into the “dog world”, Cass started off flyball lessons 16 years ago and has been competing in flyball since!

Over the years, Cass has taken a special interest in impulse control because it is needed with her multiple high energy sport mixes; to compete and at home.

Cass shares her home and passion for dogs and flyball with her husband, Alex, whom she even met through flyball. They have one child together – who also loves training dogs and flyball – and a bunch of active sport dogs and one token rescue pitty mix.

Cass loves to take courses, webinars, workshops, and more to learn as much as she can! She is a Certified Canine Bodyworker, certified in maintenance and therapeutic canine massage, certified in canine fitness, and has multiple courses/certificates in those categories as well!

If you get emails/messages late at night or early in the morning – this is why! We have a running joke that Cass doesn’t sleep!

Rebecca

Trainer

Though she has had dogs in her home for most of her life, Rebecca began to delve into dog training in 2012 when she added her Australian shepherd, Soryn, to the family.  Since then she has fallen in love with training and helping others achieve their goals.

Rebecca continuously works on building her knowledge and experience, taking courses with her own dogs and researching to keep up with the latest developments in training.

Her particular training interests are loose leash walking, agility, and rally obedience.

In addition to her Australian shepherd, Rebecca’s pack includes a Shetland sheepdog, Sabriel, and has just welcomed a new addition, Kaladin, the rough collie.
